Well this may be more difficult than it sounds. Olympic lifting (snatch, clean and jerk) in South Florida seems to be a thing of rarity. There are maybe 2? possibly 3? proper weightlifting programs in the South Florida region. And no, we’re not talking about Crossfit. That is not Olympic lifting. It may incorporate Olympic lifts, but that is not the main focus.

As evidenced by this post on yahoo voices, there’s some presence, but not much. Primarily its focused in Miami, which let’s be honest, is a giant mess to get into and out of, if you don’t live there. Further, finding a site that has open gym times is yet another criteria that is narrowing down the selection to nil.

I want to commend Crossfit Soul Miami for their Web site. They have plenty of actual useful information on their programs, their gym, and their coaches. Further, a BIG, and I do mean BIG, props to them for their online scheduler. The scheduler enables members to schedule their gym times in advance. I can see that being a huge time saver and invaluable resource. Other gyms need to follow this lead.

I also want to thank the coach of Team Florida Broward for being helpful in this search.

That being said, I’m still searching…

Resources I’ve used to track down information/other resources<br

I think its important that we never forget to play (and have fun). The upside is the stress outlet that I get from just having fun.

So, turn up the music and get under the bar.

Do

Motivation

apply

do

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

knowing

willing
<guid
